LIONS DEVOUR SPORTIVE (Back Page)

Story: Emmanuel Mordey, Kpando

KPANDO Heart of Lions started the 2007/2008 Onetouch Premier League season on a bright note with a 2-0 home victory over Tema Real Sportive at Kpando yesterday. The goals came in each half.
The first half was dominated by Lions, who, in their haste to score an early goal, wasted six corner kicks within the first 25 minutes.
The homesters continued to mount pressure on their opponents and had their efforts rewarded in the 32nd minute when Obed Ansah completed a two-man move with Dominic Adiyiah to the far corner of the net.
Against the run of play in the 55th minute, however, Player of the Match, Adiyiah, broke loose from the midfield and laid a neat pass to Abraham Annan who outran a defender before lobbying the ball over on-rushing gaolkeeper Ben Teiko in goal for Sportive.
